Services
Three build packages from $3,000. Fixed scope, fixed price, agreed before I start — no hourly billing surprises at the end of the month.
Three ways to build it
Fixed price, agreed before I start. Every tier includes a handover session and written documentation, because a site you can't update yourself isn't finished.

- Up to 5 pages
- Responsive build, tested on real devices
- Contact form and enquiry routing
- On-page SEO and accessibility pass
- Google Analytics set up and explained
- Handover training and written docs
Platinum
For when the website is part of how you actually operate — taking bookings, publishing news, bringing in donations or enquiries.
- Up to 12 pages
- Custom design, not a bought template
- Blog or news section your team can run
- Content migrated from your existing site
- Performance and technical SEO work

When the site has to connect to the tools you already run, or reach people in more than one language.

- Multilingual build — English, Swahili, Luo, Kamba
- Custom reporting or data work
- Staff training session for your whole team
- Full technical documentation
- 90 days of post-launch support
Where my work ends and yours begins
Web projects stall over this more than anything else, so it's stated up front rather than discovered in week four.
In every build
- Structure and page planning before any design
- Responsive build, tested on real devices
- Accessibility and page-speed pass
- On-page SEO and analytics setup
- Handover training and written documentation
- Every file and account in your name
What you provide
- Written copy for each page
- Photos, logo files, and brand colours if you have them
- One person who can approve decisions
- Feedback within a week at each checkpoint
- Access to your hosting and domain accounts
Not included
- Hosting and domain fees — set up on your account, billed by them
- Stock photography licences
- Copywriting — available separately, ask for a quote
- Ongoing maintenance — see the care plan
- Paid advertising or social media management
Ongoing and one-off work
Available alongside a build, or on their own if you already have a site. Care plans are discounted when they follow a build I did.
WordPress care
The unglamorous work that decides whether your site is an asset or a liability. Most sites don't fail dramatically — they rot quietly until something breaks at the worst moment.
- Core, theme and plugin updates, tested not blind
- Offsite backups and a tested restore process
- Security hardening and uptime monitoring
- A short monthly report in plain English
Migration & rescue
Moving hosts, recovering a site nobody has touched in three years, or untangling an install that's been through four different developers. I've done the archaeology before.
- Full audit before anything is moved or changed
- Staged migration with no public downtime
- Broken links, redirects and rankings preserved
- Documentation of what was actually wrong
Analytics & SEO setup
Most sites collect data nobody reads and miss the data that matters. I set up measurement around your actual goals, then show you how to read it.
- Analytics configured around real conversions
- Event tracking for the actions you care about
- Technical SEO audit and fixes
- A dashboard you'll actually open
Data & API integration
When your site, your spreadsheet and your CRM all hold different versions of the truth. I connect them, or replace the manual step that keeps getting skipped.
- REST API integrations between existing tools
- SQL reporting that replaces manual spreadsheet work
- Python scripts for recurring data tasks
- Written handover so you're not dependent on me
Four steps, in this order
You'll know the price and the scope before any work starts. If I don't think I'm the right fit, I'll say so at step one rather than step three.
Scope call
Thirty minutes. You describe the problem, I ask the awkward questions. Free, and there's no obligation after it.
Written proposal
What I'll build, what I won't, what it costs, and when it's done. One page, fixed price, no hourly ambiguity.
Build with checkpoints
You see progress at agreed points, not just at the end. Changes are easy early and expensive late, so we catch them early.
Launch & handover
Deployment, documentation, and a walkthrough so you can run it without me. Ongoing care is optional, never assumed.
How payment works
No surprises, and nothing hidden until the contract stage.
The things everyone asks
Can we update the site ourselves afterwards?
Yes — that's the point. Every build ends with a training session and written documentation for your team. If changing a phone number means calling me, I've built it wrong.
Do you host the site?
No, and that's deliberate. I set hosting up on an account in your name and recommend what suits your traffic, so you're never locked to me by controlling your own infrastructure. Hosting fees go directly to the provider.
What if we don't like the design?
You see the work at agreed checkpoints, not just at the end, and revisions at those points are included. Changes are cheap early and expensive late, which is why the checkpoints exist.
Who writes the words?
You do, unless we agree otherwise. I'll give you a page-by-page outline of what's needed and roughly how long each piece should be. If writing it is the blocker, ask me for a copywriting quote — I trained as a journalist, so it's work I can take on.
How long does it take?
Roughly 3 weeks for Basic, 6 for Platinum, 10 for Gold, counted from the day I have your content. Projects almost never run late because of the build — they run late waiting on copy and photos.
Do you work with organisations outside Minnesota?
Yes. Most of the work is remote. I also work in Swahili, Luo and Kamba, so organisations serving East African communities can have a site built and handed over in the languages their people actually use.
What happens after launch?
Platinum includes 30 days of support and Gold includes 90. After that you can take a care plan from $95/mo, come back for one-off work, or run it yourself with the documentation. All three are fine.
Book a scope call
Tell me what you're trying to do. Thirty minutes, no charge, and an honest answer about whether I'm the right person for it.
